The Swedish National Committee for History of Technology and Science (SNTV) welcomes you to the Technology and Science History Days on August 19–21, 2026 in Gothenburg with the theme of information processing.
We welcome proposals for independent papers, theme sessions and panels that address the long history of technology and science in the broad sense of information processing. Presentations outside the theme are also welcome. The call for papers will be announced later, but we would like to inform you now about the dates and overall theme. More information will soon be available on tvhd2026.
About the conference
Every other year, SNTV organizes the Technology and Science History Days. The conference is an arena for the presentation of new and ongoing research and for the exchange of experiences in teaching, documentation and exhibition activities. It usually attracts researchers from several different disciplines, especially younger researchers/research students, who are given the opportunity to discuss ongoing research and dissertation projects. The conference also wants to create an opportunity for contacts between researchers and professionals in museums, schools and archives related to the history of technology and science.
