The Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities has published a volume based on Inga Elmqvist Söderlund’s (1967–2017) essays and lectures.
Elmqvist Söderlund was 1996–2013 director of the Observatory Museum in Stockholm and in 2010 she completed her dissertation with the thesis Taking Possession of Astronomy. She was also a visiting researcher in Oxford and Greenwich before getting an academic research position at the Department of Art Studies at Stockholm University. At the 2018 SIC Annual Symposium in Leiden a special session was dedicated to Elmqvist Söderlund. Now three colleagues at her department have collected and published her essays and lectures in the form of the book Displays of Learning: Studies in Early Modern Art and Science. The texts concern the connections between art and natural science during the early modern period.
